The Brief
Lomond Thistle Colts needed a stronger visual identity that could work across the realities of local football: a badge that felt like a proper club mark, social graphics that could be used week after week, and a kit design that gave the team something distinctive on the pitch.
The project covered the full matchday surface area rather than a single standalone logo. The goal was to create a practical identity system that made the club feel more established online, easier to recognise, and more consistent across fixtures, results, tables, player posts, and teamwear.
Creative Direction
The badge direction was built around a bold circular crest with black, white, and yellow as the core palette. That gave the club a clear, high-contrast identity with enough flexibility to work as full-colour artwork, single-colour marks, shield variants, and kit applications.
The wider system kept the same energy. Social templates used strong blocks of colour, clear hierarchy, and repeatable layouts so match information could be updated quickly without losing the visual standard. The identity needed to feel spirited and local, but still disciplined enough to hold together across a full season of posts.
What Was Built
The project included a joined-up set of football club assets:
- Club badge design and colour variants
- Shield marks for secondary applications
- Matchday, lineup, player of the match, standings, match preview, and match report graphics
- Supporter banner artwork
- Home and away kit concepts developed with Monarch Sportswear
The social templates were designed as a working toolkit. Matchday posts, lineup graphics, player-of-the-match posts, league standings, and post-match updates all share the same club language, making each post feel part of a wider system rather than a one-off graphic.
The kit design carried the identity onto the pitch. The home strip uses the club's yellow, black, and white palette in a striped layout, while the wider kit mockups show how the badge, sponsor placement, and manufacturer details could sit together as a complete football product.
Why It Works
The strength of the project is consistency. The badge gives Lomond Thistle Colts a recognisable centre point, the templates make regular communication easier, and the kit work turns the identity into something players and supporters can actually wear and rally around.
For a local football team, that matters. The design system gives the club a more professional presence without making it feel corporate or detached from its grassroots context.
